Each weekend the Brahma Kumaris offer a retreat for
a particular group in the community: young people, women, educators, health professionals,
business people, artists and many others. It has been described by one participant as
'a health retreat for the mind and
soul'. The programs are designed to
cater to personal needs engendered by the hectic lifestyle of the 00s.
Sep 26 - Sep 28
For over a year Friends of the BKs have been involved in an eco-re-establishment program at the Retreat Centre. This weekend provides us with an opportunity to learn more about the Flora and Fauna survey of the property, how to sustain the environment, both physically and spiritually. Facilitators are experienced environmentalists, ecologists, Natural Resource Management, and long term Brahma Kumaris meditators. There will be time for some hands on experience working in the grounds. If you are interested in becoming a Friend of the BKs to work once a month in helping to re-establish the bushland at the Centre, bring your comfortable garden clothes, shoes and gloves.
